So this year I was going to be the mean mommy and skip dyeing eggs with Amelia. She doesn't know and I wasn't really looking forward to the mess. Well, good mommy Renae called me up and invited us over to color eggs. I told her she was awfully brave, especially inviting other kiddos over. I learned a good egg dyeing tip from her...use Styrofoam or plastic cups. So when the kids drop the eggs in the dye, the eggs don't break. Amelia had great time with Shad coloring all the eggs.
The clean white sheet ended up to be a fun tie died color by the end of the evening. We only had two cups tip over.
The kids had a lot of fun. We did end up with numerous eggs being this odd shade of green. It seems Shad and Amelia took to dropping the eggs in the same two colors over and over. It was nice to have them occupied that the parents could engage in conversation. Thanks Hunt family for the invite, we had a really good time and Amelia has discovered how much she loves hard-boiled eggs.

Don't feel bad- this was the first year we dyed eggs too, and it wasn't at our house either! Hahaha. Permanent dye is much less scary when its someone else's kitchen! :)
