Amelia was invited to a birthday party from her buddy Davis. His mommy was really cool and had his party at a petting zoo. It could also have to do with the fact that Davis is obsessed with cows. Everything is a cow and he is constantly looking for a cow.
Amelia wasn't to thrilled with the animals at first. I didn't think we would ever get her to get anywhere near them. Finally towards the end and after she watched several kids pet them all, she decided it might not be all that bad. The farm had day old baby chicks that were so cute and fluffy.
Here Amelia and Davis are petting the pony. Again, it took some coaxing to get her to go and pet the pony. Davis had no reservations and was back and forth. Amelia would sneak up, quickly touch the pony and then come running back to Spencer with the ever-so-proud smile on her face. This pony was a hoot. They took him back and supposedly "locked" him back in the pen. The next thing we know, there is this flash of pony running around the compound. It was quite humorous. He was running so fast, his main was blowing in the wind and he did not want to be caught. This pony was showing all of us what he was made of. That he wasn't just a little pony, he was a stallion. (Reminds me of Shrek when Donkey drinks the potion and becomes a white stallion.) Those ponies are small, but he sure could run.
This was a baby goat, although it didn't look like a baby. This goat wasn't too confident with being pet and would squirm and kick. Amelia wasn't too sure about it. (Notice the styling glasses.)
Lamas...what can you say about lamas. They are interesting to look at, but they do spit. I don't think this one was all that excited about being put out to be pet. If the handler wasn't there, it (can't remember if it was a boy or girl) would give you this look like it would do something to you if you came any closer. And then its teeth...can we say bucky?
This was a cute round goat. We all thought for sure it was pregnant because it literally looked like it had swallowed a watermelon sideways. The farmer lady said no, that is just how they are. Very interesting. This picture was when we first got there, so Amelia did not want down. We would keep asking her if she wanted to feed the goats and her response, "Don't want it." And if by chance we didn't listen to her "don't want it" and we pressed for her to touch the animal, she would yell "don't want it" even louder.
