Spencer turned 30 on May 4th. Say goodbye to your 20's baby, your getting old. I decided to throw him a surprise party and sent the below invitations to family and friends. He is 3 months old in that picture...look at those dimples.
Everyone loved the picture of him and had a hard time not teasing him about it (especially his work buddies). I told him we were meeting my parents and his to celebrate his birthday, but as soon as we pulled into the parking lot he recognized friends cars. He realized something was up. And then it didn't help that when we walked in the gal at the counter said "If you are here for the surprise party it is in that room." Geezes, does she not understand the concept of a surprise party?
We had the party at Idaho Pizza and were surrounded by good friends and family.

This was the best place. The kids could run around and play games and the adults could sit in their chairs and still see them. Even though Spencer was a little embarrassed, he had a great time and really enjoyed every ones company. Boy is he loved.

Did you say anything to the braindead hostess like "Well, it WAS a surprise!!!"? That's too bad! I'm so glad that Spencer was feelin' the love though on his special day! Those invites were too cute!
