Fishing Pole

Amelia has been asking for a fishing pole for quite a while, so this weekend we headed to Cabelas to let her pick one out. We found the right aisle and I asked her if she wanted a Barbie, Princess, or Cars fishing pole. Any guesses to what she chose??? That's right, the Cars one. She wanted nothing to do with the Princess or Barbie one.

Nothing beats a beautiful Sunday morning to teach his daughter how to cast. She got the hang of it pretty fast and soon wanted to practice in water; enough of this lawn casting. Real fishing involves water.

So daddy pulled out the wading pool and filled it up for her. She was in 7th Heaven.

Arms back in the correct position for casting and...

...let it go. Perfect aim, right in the water. She can hardly wait to go fishing with her daddy and pop-pop. I love watching her excited and content face.

I love it! He may have girls.. but they will be plenty of fun! I love playing sports, fishing, etc. Let the daddy/daughter fun begin!

Brynna has been asking for a fishing pole too. So she will be getting one for her birthday in a couple weeks from her grandparents. The only problem is, neither Justin and I really know how to fish! So we may be studying this post for tutorials on proper casting! :)

Wow... I just got caught up on all your family happenings reading your past posts. It is hard to believe Spencer is 30. I remember those dimples of his very well! Glad he never lost them. Millie's haircut is adorable, and it was fun to learn she is getting a sister!!!! Congratulations! You guys have a beautiful family.
